HOPEX-High Speed Cable Tray
Quoted line speed and actual daily output are different numbers. This page shows what determines the gap on a high speed cable tray production machine, so capacity can be planned honestly.
Online punching and production speed is 8 – 16 m/min. That range already accounts for punching of connecting holes, which is why it is stated as a range rather than a single number.
Trays are produced 2000 – 3000 mm long. Shorter workpieces mean more cutting cycles per hour, so output measured in metres falls even though the mill speed has not changed.
Each additional hole adds punch time. A tray with connecting holes only will run at the upper end of the range; adding pallet holes moves output down.

The electric decoiler, 10 t maximum loading determines how long the line runs between coil changes. A 10 tonne capacity means fewer interruptions than a lighter decoiler on the same order.
The line covers 200 – 650 mm. Orders grouped by width run with fewer setting changes than orders sequenced by delivery date.

Q1. What line speed should we plan around?
8 – 16 m/min, including punching of connecting holes.
Q2. Why is output lower on short trays?
Shorter workpieces within the 2000 – 3000 mm range mean more cutting cycles per hour.
Q3. How many operators are needed?
One worker is sufficient in normal production.
Q4. How often will we change coils?
The electric decoiler, 10 t maximum loading carries up to 10 tonnes, so changes are less frequent than on a lighter decoiler.
Q5. Does width affect throughput?
Not directly, but grouping orders by width within 200 – 650 mm reduces setting changes.
Q6. What is the delivery time?
30 days for one set and 45 days for 2–5 sets.
