HOPEX-Multi Material Cable Tray
One cable tray machine has to handle several strip materials, and they do not behave the same way in the mill. This page covers what changes between them and how the line copes.

Q235 galvanized is the reference material for the line. The zinc layer is abrasive against tooling, which is why rollers are 45# steel, quenched and hard chromed.
Stainless springs back further than carbon steel and hardens as it deforms. Spreading the bend across 26 rows keeps each increment small enough that the material does not harden ahead of the final passes.
Zn-Al-Mg coatings are valued for corrosion performance, and cracking them at the bend radius removes the reason for specifying them. Progressive forming across the full row sequence is what protects the surface.
