HOPEX-Photovoltaic Mounting
This page follows one coil through the photovoltaic mounting roll forming machine, station by station, with the parameter that governs each step.

The galvanized coil is mounted and paid off under controlled tension. Strip width entering the line is 210 mm, thickness 2.0 – 3.0 mm.
Coil set and cross bow are removed here. Any curvature left in the strip at this point will be locked into the finished profile by the forming mill.
The servo feeder indexes the strip to the punching station. Because indexing is independent of mill speed, hole pitch stays constant whether the line runs at the lower or upper end of 10 – 20 m/min.
Two 11 KW hydraulic stations punch mounting holes and slots while the strip is still flat, which is far easier to control than punching a formed section.

The strip enters 26 roller stations. Rollers are Cr12MoV, quenched HRC 58–62, mounted on 80 mm solid shaft in 45# steel, forged, 0.05 mm chrome plated.
Mill speed through this section is 15 – 30 m/min.

The cut-off unit travels with the profile so the mill never stops. Length is entered at the PLC and repeated automatically for the whole batch.
Finished profiles are received on the output platform, ready for bundling.

| Step | Governing parameter |
|---|---|
| Decoiling | Strip width 210 mm, thickness 2.0 – 3.0 mm |
| Servo feeding | Indexed positioning, independent of mill speed |
| Punching | 11 KW × 2 hydraulic stations |
| Roll forming | 26 stations, Cr12MoV, quenched HRC 58–62 |
| Cut-off | 4 KW hydraulic, tracking type |
| Whole line | 12000 × 1550 × 1600 mm, 8000 kg, 18.5 KW × 2 + 11 KW × 2 + 4 KW + 3 KW, 380 V |

The line is manufactured in Tianjin, China and supplied with a 2 years warranty covering the core components. A machinery test report and video outgoing inspection are provided before dispatch.

Q1. Why punch before forming instead of after?
A flat strip is easier to locate and support, so hole quality and position are better than punching a closed section.
Q2. Does the mill stop to cut?
No. The cut-off tracks the profile at line speed.
Q3. What controls the finished length?
The PLC, with the tracking cut-off executing the setting.
Q4. How many stations does the strip pass?
26 forming stations.
Q5. What is the line speed through the mill?
15 – 30 m/min molding speed, giving 10 – 20 m/min sustained capacity.
Q6. What power supply does the whole line need?
18.5 KW × 2 + 11 KW × 2 + 4 KW + 3 KW at 380 V.
