HOPEX-Solar Strut Channel
Most channel machines on the market are built for light gauge. A solar strut channel making machine used for structural work is a different class of equipment. The comparison below shows where the difference sits.
| Aspect | Typical light gauge line | HOPEX structural line |
|---|---|---|
| Thickness capacity | Around 1.0 – 1.5 mm | 2.0 – 3.0 mm |
| Forming stations | 12 – 18 typical | 26 lines |
| Shaft diameter | 50 – 65 mm common | 80 mm solid shaft |
| Roller treatment | Often through-hardened only | Cr12MoV, quenched HRC 58–62 |
| Punching | Frequently offline | In-line hydraulic, 11 KW × 2 |
| Machine mass | 3 – 5 tonnes | 8000 kg |
| Main drive | Single motor typical | 18.5 KW × 2 |

If your channel is under 1.5 mm and carries no structural load, a lighter mill is cheaper to run and perfectly adequate. This line is specified for structural strut channel, where section accuracy under load is the requirement.
| Item | Parameter |
|---|---|
| Feeding width | 210 mm |
| Thickness range | 2.0 – 3.0 mm |
| Production capacity | 10 – 20 m/min |
| Molding speed | 15 – 30 m/min |
| Stations | 26 lines |
| Shaft | 80 mm solid shaft, 45# steel, forged, 0.05 mm chrome plated |
| Rollers | Cr12MoV, quenched HRC 58–62 |
| Dimensions | 12000 × 1550 × 1600 mm |
| Weight | 8000 kg |
| Power | 18.5 KW × 2 + 11 KW × 2 + 4 KW + 3 KW at 380 V |

Q1. Can a light gauge machine be upgraded to 3 mm?
Not realistically. Shaft diameter, station count and frame mass are structural decisions taken at design stage.
Q2. How much difference does station count make?
On 2.0 – 3.0 mm material it is the difference between a section that holds tolerance and one that springs open.
Q3. Is the heavier line slower?
No. Capacity is 10 – 20 m/min, with molding speed 15 – 30 m/min.
Q4. What is the installed power?
18.5 KW × 2 + 11 KW × 2 + 4 KW + 3 KW.
Q5. Where is it manufactured?
Tianjin, China.
Q6. What warranty applies?
2 years, with machinery test report and video inspection before dispatch.
