HOPEX-Solar Structure
A roll forming machine for solar structure work has to hold section geometry under heavy gauge. This HOPEX line forms galvanized strip 1.5–2.5 mm thick into 41×41, 41×52, 41×62 and 41×72 channel, running at 10–15 m/min.
The forming mill uses a cast iron housing frame with 26 passes of Cr12 vacuum-quenched rollers. Consequently the structural sections stay square and straight across long runs, which matters when the profile becomes a load-bearing part of a solar array.
Specified for fabricators producing structural steel components for photovoltaic mounting systems.

Solar structures carry wind and snow load for decades. Therefore the channel feeding those structures must leave the mill with consistent web width, square corners and flat base.
This roll forming machine for solar structure production addresses that in three ways. First, the cast iron housing keeps the roller stands in position under load. Second, the 26-pass sequence spreads deformation across many small steps rather than a few aggressive ones. Third, the water circulation system prevents thermal drift in the tooling.
In addition, servo non-stop punching places holes without stopping the mill, so line speed stays stable and hole pitch stays uniform.
Decoiler → 5-Roll Leveller → Servo Feeding → Non-Stop Reverse Punching → 26-Pass Roll Forming → Tracking Circular Saw → Output Platform

Each roll forming machine for solar structure production is protected with film wrap, mounted on a steel base and loaded into containers for shipment.

Q1. What makes this suitable for structural solar components?
The cast iron housing frame, 26 forming passes and Cr12 vacuum-quenched rollers hold section geometry when forming heavy gauge up to 2.5 mm.
Q2. Which sections does it roll?
41×41, 41×52, 41×62 and 41×72, using feeding widths of 135, 157, 177 and 197 mm.
Q3. What is the forming speed?
10–15 m/min with inline punching.
Q4. How are lengths controlled?
A tracking circular saw cuts on the fly at lengths up to 6000 mm.
Q5. What drive system is used?
Two 18.5 KW K97 hard-tooth-surface reducers with gearbox transmission and coupling connection.
Q6. What are the utility requirements?
Approximately 95 KW installed capacity, 46# hydraulic oil and 18# hypoid gear oil.
