Contractors buy channel that fits the fittings they already stock. This unistrut c channel roll forming machine produces the 41 mm face-width family — 41×41, 41×52, 41×62 and 41×72 — so standard channel nuts, brackets and clamps remain usable.

The mill forms galvanized strip 1.5–2.5 mm thick at 10–15 m/min, with inline punching. Therefore a single line covers the depths most commonly specified across solar mounting and building services work.

Holding the Standard Profile

Fitting compatibility depends on tight control of the channel lip and face. Consequently the mill uses 26 forming passes to build the section gradually, rather than forcing the shape in fewer stages.

Rollers are Cr12 mould steel, vacuum quenched to HRC 58–62, mounted on φ80 mm shafts of quenched and tempered 45# steel. Furthermore, the cast iron housing frame and water circulation system hold alignment and temperature steady, so the lip opening stays within specification throughout the run.
