Product Description

Seismic Support Channel Production Line — Installation to First Article

HOPEX-Seismic Support Channel

A seismic support channel production line arrives as a 20-tonne shipment. This page covers what happens from container to first approved part.

Stage 1 — Before the Container Arrives

Foundation

Plan for a level floor able to carry 20000 kg. The shipping package measures 2600 × 300 × 200 cm, so confirm access and lifting capacity in advance.

Power

Supply is 380 V three phase, sized for a total connected load of 69 KW.

Material

Have coil ready in the widths you intend to run: 135 mm, 157 mm, 177 mm and 197 mm, at 1.5 – 2.5 mm thickness.

Stage 2 — Positioning and Assembly

  1. Offload and position the mill sections along the intended production axis.
  2. Level the arch frame; the gearbox and arch frame drive relies on correct alignment.
  3. Connect hydraulic lines and confirm fluid levels.
  4. Connect the 380 V supply to the control cabinet.
  5. Confirm rotation direction before loading coil.

Stage 3 — Dry Run

Run the mill empty and confirm the drive reaches 10 – 15 m/min without vibration or unusual noise. Check the cut-off cycle with the Cr12MoV blade before introducing material.

Stage 4 — First Article

  1. Load coil at the lower end of the 1.5 – 2.5 mm range for the first run.
  2. Produce a short length and check web width, flange height and squareness.
  3. Verify hole position against the engineered drawing.
  4. Adjust roller settings if required, then repeat.
  5. Approve the first article before starting batch production.

Stage 5 — Operator Handover

  • Setting length and quantity for a batch.
  • Changing between the four feeding widths.
  • Daily lubrication points and inspection routine.
  • Blade condition checks and replacement interval.

Commissioning FAQ

Q1. What foundation is needed?

A level floor carrying 20000 kg, with access for a 2600 × 300 × 200 cm package.

Q2. What electrical supply must be prepared?

380 V three phase sized for 69 KW.

Q3. How long does commissioning take?

It depends on site readiness. Foundation, power and coil availability are the usual constraints rather than the machine itself.

Q4. Is engineer support available?

Yes, guidance is provided for positioning, connection, first article and operator training.

Q5. What should the first article be checked against?

Web width, flange height, squareness and hole position, compared with your engineered drawing.

Q6. What is the delivery lead time?

75 days for one set and 90 days for 2–5 sets.
