HOPEX-Solar Strut
Strut profiles serve two markets at once: solar mounting and seismic bracing. This solar strut roll forming machine covers both, forming 41×41, 41×52, 41×62 and 41×72 struts from galvanized strip 1.5–2.5 mm thick.
Because seismic bracing demands load capacity, the mill runs a cast iron housing frame with 26 forming passes. Consequently the same line supplies PV mounting rails and building bracing channel without compromise on either.
A practical fit for fabricators serving both renewable energy and building services contractors.
| Requirement | Solar mounting | Seismic bracing |
|---|---|---|
| Typical section | 41×41, 41×52 | 41×62, 41×72 |
| Thickness | 1.5 – 2.0 mm | 2.0 – 2.5 mm |
| Length | ≤ 6000 mm | ≤ 6000 mm |
| Hole pattern | Inline punched | Inline punched |
| Material | Galvanized steel | Galvanized steel |
All four sections share a 41 mm face, so standard channel nuts and fittings work across both applications.

Bracing struts sit at the upper end of the thickness range. Therefore the mill has to keep the section square when forming 2.5 mm material.
Three features address this. The cast iron housing frame resists stand deflection. The 26 forming passes distribute deformation gradually. Additionally, Cr12 rollers vacuum quenched to HRC 58–62 hold their profile against heavy-gauge wear.
Drive comes from two 18.5 KW K97 hard-tooth-surface reducers through a gearbox with coupling connection, turning φ80 mm shafts of quenched and tempered 45# steel.

The solar strut roll forming machine is film-wrapped, fixed to a steel base and container-loaded for export shipment.

Q1. Can one machine serve both solar and seismic bracing work?
Yes. The same four sections — 41×41 to 41×72 — cover both, differing mainly in gauge selection.
Q2. What is the heaviest gauge it forms?
2.5 mm galvanized strip, with a thickness tolerance of ±0.03 mm.
Q3. How does the frame handle heavy-gauge forming?
Roller stands are mounted in a cast iron housing frame that resists deflection under load.
Q4. What roller material is used?
Cr12 mould steel, vacuum quenched to HRC 58–62.
Q5. What is the production speed?
10–15 m/min including inline punching.
Q6. What length can be produced?
Up to 6000 mm, cut by a tracking circular saw.
